Our Story So Far

Based in Melbourne, Victoria, NanoShield Australia Pty Ltd is the sole and exclusive distributor of Cosy 24/7. Building on the success of the product internationally, our skilled and experienced management team are excited to bring this ground-breaking technology to Australia and improve the quality of life for all.

How It all Began

Following the Fukushima Nuclear Reactor disaster of 2011, the government of Japan invested heavily to find ways of reducing their energy consumption and reliance on Nuclear energy. Drawing on research begun in the 90’s, a new thermal nanotechnology was created to coat existing windows. As the technology grew in popularity across Japan, entire cities became less reliant on Nuclear and more energy efficient.

Today

The product is now widely used around the world in 26 different countries under various names. Research and development continues to improve the product and create new and improved formulas that better suit different climates. For the first time, Cosy 24/7 has been brought to Australia. Exclusively distributed by NanoShield Australia Pty Ltd, we are excited about the difference this will make to Australian homes and businesses. Australia’s harsh climates are a perfect fit for the comfort and cost savings Cosy 24/7 can deliver.

We recently had Ray and the team from NanoShield come and apply their product to our windows (Facing East & West) in our lounge and dining areas. We did not get this product for privacy - it's not a tint -it's clear - we got this for UV protection of furniture and artwork and photos. It also has the added benefit of thermal protection for keeping heat in in Winter, and heat out in Summer. From start to finish the service was prompt, friendly & efficient. All information given was excellent, and the service people installing were on time, clean, and a pleasure to deal with. If you are an artist, photographer, or gallery - what a great way to add UV protection to your artwork whilst still allowing in light. Highly Recommend - Cheers Danielle & Phil

I got Nanoshield on the promise that it would block UV and prevent my furniture bleaching. Specifically the website says: "it also prevents UV bleaching to your home's most valuable items including furniture, heirlooms, artwork, photos, carpets, curtains, woodwork, books and so much more". Unfortunately, in the year and a half since I got Nanoshield, my sofa, carpets and cushions have faded badly. I have had the Nanoshield team out twice to check (and they did come promptly), but they just tell me that their meter shows complete UV blocking and the fading must be caused by something else. On the other hand, the sofa company have told me that the fading is due to UV light. Clearly, they can't both be right. But with no way to prove this one way or the other, I am left to carry the cost.

Had the guys out first day out of lock down they installed nano shield on all the windows on my house. I got nano shield mainly to block UV from my east facing home office. First impressions are good I don't feel like I'm being burnt every morning now. Technician was on time even took down and re put up my interior blinds. 5-stars I look forward to a cooler Summer, would recommend

I received a quote some time back after I enquired about tinting then got distracted, probably because summer turned into winter 🙂 Ray reached out to me to see if I were still interested and he called over today to test my windows As it turns out Rays equipment showed they were already well protected from UV and he was honest enough to say his product would improve it slightly but he felt it really wasn't worth the investment in this case. He then went on to explain some tips for me this summer to reduce my heat load. He's a very knowledgeable guy and I'm so impressed he wasn't just out for an order I cant recommend this company enough

Fantastic product and staff. Ray was very informative during our initial consultation, showing the products capacity to reflect uv/heat, and even provided some great advice to improve efficiencies elsewhere. After sales service has been above and beyond my expectations, with Nanoshield working exhaustively, overcoming environmental challenges to to get my job done perfectly. Thanks again to a great team Ray, Soe and Ken and your great product. APRIL 2021 Because the product worked so well, we recently engaged the use of the Nanoshield team again for last of the windows in our home to be coated. Though the job was small, the team were more than happy to help out. The installer Dong H was professional efficient, and very personable. Now that the coating has been applied for a few weeks, we are ecstatic to report that the issue of moisture building up on the windows overnight now no longer occurs. Thanks to all involved

Both directors, Ray and Ken are knowledgeable and professional people, who will not recommend their product if they think it will not benefit you. That is a refreshing approach in this day and age. Having elected to use their product, I was impressed with the time and effort that goes into the preparation. My apartment faces east and one of the small rooms is like an oven for 3-4 hours in the morning when the weather is hot. Based on a demonstration by Ray, I believe the temperature in that room will be a whole lot better now. It is important to understand this is not a tint. The product is all but invisible after application, and that makes it suitable for apartments where the body corporate will not allow tinting.
